Honor Founder Nancy Saturn at This Year's American Artisan Festival
Posted by Gary Ashton: RE/MAX on Saturday, June 9th, 2012 at 3:23am.If you're looking for a great family-friendly activity to treat your loved ones to this Father's Day, then you definitely won't want to miss the 42nd annual American Artisan Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. This increasingly popular Festival is a showcase for the most talented and creative craftsmen in the Middle Tennessee area, so whether you're looking for good food, good fun or fantastic decor you'll find it at the American Artisan Festival.
This year's American Artisan Festival is an especially sentimental one as Nancy Saturn, the original founder of the AAF, lost her life to advanced breast cancer in March of 2010. In her lifetime she saw the American Artisan Festival transform from a raggedy collection of small booths in her backyard to the massive annual artistic event that it is today. Fortunately, her daughter, Samantha Saturn, is here to carry the torch and make this year's festival the most prolific one yet. You definitely won't want to miss this fun filled weekend of outdoor activities and socializing, all set to take place in the beautiful setting of Centennial Park.
If you would like to take a beautiful escape from the droll of everyday life and make this Father's Day a special one, then head over to the American Artisan Festival the weekend of June 15. Whether it rains or shines the festival will take place, so you can go ahead and mark your calendars in stone for what is sure to be an incredibly exciting weekend. This is your opportunity to give back to Nashville and to honor the founder, Nancy Saturn, by making an appearance at the American Artisan Festival to support your local artisans. What's more? The American Artisan Festival also supports another of Nancy's in-life passions – the Gilda's Club Nashville, which is a gathering place for people with cancer. The festival is open every night of the weekend until about 7 PM, so do yourself and your city a favor and make the trip! Learn more at http://www.american-artisan.com
