Trolley

Downtown Franklin can enjoy free Trolley rides this holiday season. During holiday shopping season, Franklin has set up Stop Hop & Shop Trolley for select Saturdays in November and December. This is the first time they’ve done this for Franklin residents and it’s going to be a real treat.

This is all thanks to the partnership of the Franklin Transit Authority with the Downtown Franklin Associate. Here is a look at what to expect with the free trolley rides this year.

Free Trolley Rides

The free trolley rides are provided by The Factory at Franklin for the holiday season. They are trying to encourage folks and their families to experience the joy of shopping small during the holiday season.

The goal is to get people to take the free trolleys at the Factory in hopes that they’ll stop inside to view the fantastic Christmas tree exhibition. They want families to make this a tradition to take the red and green Christmas trolleys, enjoy the Christmas trees and shop at the local stores for their holiday gifts.

The trolleys will have festive surprises and shopping in historic downtown Franklin will feature sparking Christmas lights. They are kicking off the event on Small Business Saturday to help folks try the Stop Hop & Shop Trolley while supports small, local indie businesses.

How It Works

You can enjoy the free trolley on November 29th, December 6th, December 20th and December 27th only from 10am-5pm.

Head over to The Factory at Franklin to try it. You’ll head down Main Street to Second Avenue, then to Third and Fourth Avenues. From there you’ll be taken to West Main (past 5th Avenue) and then it circles back around on Church Street and up to Columbia Avenue. It will make its way back to the Factory.

You’ll have time to shop at all of your favorite stores at each stop. You don’t even have to make a reservation or get tickets; just park at The Factory and head over to the trolley pick-up sign.

The Franklin Transit Authority and the Factory are making your holidays even more fun this year.
