It’s almost Christmastime and that means holiday events are going on like crazy right now. Everywhere you go there seems to be a celebration. Along with chillier weather, gift shopping and putting up the holiday decorations, why not check out some of the fun events around town with your family?

Opryland is going all out for Christmas of 2014 with Gingy’s Gingerbread Decorating, Photos with Santa and more. Here are some of the events happening here this year.

Gingy’s Gingerbread Decorating

Take part in the exciting gingerbread-making classes taking place at Opryland this holiday season. It’s an annual event each year to celebrate the Christmas season. You can decorate a gingerbread cookie family or gingerbread house.

Delta River Christmas Cruise

If you love the water, check out the Country Christmas Delta River Cruises that take you around to see lights and the Christmas decorations at the Gaylord Opryland Resort’s Delta Atrium. It’s a scenic indoor river cruise on a Mississippi-styled river flatboat.

Treasures for the Holidays

There is an annual craft show going on during this time of year as well. Treasure for the Holidays features everything you need to knock out that Christmas shopping list. Get novelty gifts, handmade jewelry, clothing, food, artwork and more. You’ll be able to find something for everyone on your list.

Photos with Santa

If you haven’t gotten your kid’s pictures with Santa yet, you can do that at Opryland this season. Every year Santa comes to visit for pictures at “A Country Christmas.”

Parade of Trees

Brand new this year is the Parade of Trees. It’s similar to the Opryland Hall of Trees but it’s a free self-guided tour. You’ll see stunningly decorated Christmas trees at the resort and country artists and celebrity trees. The decorations and prizes are given out to the highest online bidder to help charity.

These are just a few of the plenty of amazing Opryland Christmas events scheduled for 2014.
