Moving is stressful and means you have to adjust to a new area. If you're moving to Nashville in the near future or you just arrived, joining a club or organization is a great way to adjust. Here are some of the best choices to help you get involved.

Brentwood Woman's Club

This is a club consisting of volunteer women. They work on projects throughout the community to help improve the area.

Brazilian Studies Association

BRASA is a group of scholars working to promote Brazilian studies. It's made up of many different individuals and provides a great place for those interested in Brazilian studies.

Percy Priest Yacht Club

This is a great place for those enjoying sailing. They provide a weekly Wednesday night Regatta and a great place for anybody enjoying boating.

Middle Tennessee Geocaches Club

This is an adventure seeking group with all types of fun for the members. The fun of Geocaching is found throughout the area and this is the group for you, if this is something you enjoy.

Junior League of Nashville

This is an organization of volunteer women helping to improve the community.

Barnard-Seyfert Astronomical Society

If you love astronomy, this is the group for you. Both professional and amateur astronomers are welcome to enjoy astronomy with other members of this group.

Along with these groups, you can use the Nashville meetup website to find even more local groups. This is the largest networking site helping to connect locals with each other. From clubs playing poker together to meetups including golf, tennis and a number of other activities, there's a group for everybody here.

Finding a new group or organization to join will help you enjoy the city more than just sitting at home or spending time alone. It's a big adjustment and spending time around people that enjoy the same things as you do, can help make the adjustment to your new home much easier.
