Starting on May 7th and running through June 2nd, Disney's The Lion King will take the stage at Andrew Jackson Hall in the Tennessee Performing Arts Center. This is the first time the show has returned since the record-breaking performance in 2006. From the amazing music to the beautiful costumes, everything about this show is award winning. The visual images of this show will provide lasting memories for all in attendance.
Director Julie Taymor takes this show to a new level with thrilling scenes, pulsating rhythms and the true feel of the African Pridelands. Just like the movie, the show features scores from Elton John and Tim Rice. The Oscar-winning song "Can You Feel The Love Tonight", along with "Circle of Life" will allow your imagination fully enjoy this Broadway experience.
Located in the James K. Polk Center on Deaderick Street, the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (TPAC) provides four theatres for performances. Disney's The Lion King will be performed in Andrew Jackson Hall with a seating capacity of 2,472. This is the largest of all the theaters and provides the largest stage, as well. Many of the hit Broadway shows coming to Nashville perform in the Andrew Jackson Hall.
Tickets for the Show
In an effort to ensure consumers can actually purchase tickets to the show at a reasonable price, TPAC is limiting ticket purchases to eight per household. VIP tickets are available for all the performances except those held the week of May 9-16 and the matinee on May 30th. TPAC season ticket holders can purchase show tickets in advance.
VIP tickets are $152.50 each and provide seating in the Orchestra area. Tickets for the Grand Tier section range from $82.50 to $97.50 and tickets in the Balcony & Loges area range from $47.50 to $82.50.
