Ask anyone living or working in East Nashville and they will tell you that right now, this is one HOT area – and no, we’re not just talking about the temperature outside. We’re talking about real estate conditions, where prices are rising, inventory is down, down, down, and where buyers once again have to compete for the properties they want.

For years, the Cleveland Park neighborhood in East Nashville has been overlooked, but now it seems that times are changing. Smart buyers are quickly realizing that the neighborhood is one of the best places in the city to snap up attractive homes at affordable prices. The area’s rich mix of freshly renovated, historic homes and modern developments, and its close proximity to many of the major attractions in Nashville make Cleveland Park a neighborhood that few prospective buyers can afford to overlook.

One of the best things about Cleveland Park is the sense of pride and joy that the residents have in the neighborhood. For example, long time. Resident Carol McCulloch, has lived in the neighborhood with her family for over a decade, and has become one of the Cleveland Park’s most prominent advocates and activists.

“Why did I move to Cleveland Park? For all kinds of reasons – for the charming, historic homes that are close to the centre of the city, the great value, and of course the people who live here,” says Carol.

“One thing that I have noticed, and something that is very gratifying, is that in the time we have lived here, we have seen so much support from the community. Everyone works together collectively to maintain the character of the neighborhood and improve it.”

One of the reasons for Cleveland Park's growing attractiveness is that the trend among buyers in Nashville today is gravitating toward smaller spaces. The neighborhood, as well as nearby McFerrin Park, feature a wealth of fully renovated, and adorable cottages that offer affordable living. The flipside is that of those who are looking for larger living spaces, prices remain much more competitive.
