Although we’re only a month and a half into the new year, it’s never too early to see how the luxury real estate in Nashville is faring. As one of the hottest markets in the entire country right now, so many different segments of the local housing market are thriving, and that certainly includes high-end homes in Nashville over $1 million.
Every week, the Nashville Business Journal highlights the city’s most expensive homes that sold, and for the week of January 30th to February 5th, one common element associated with several of the listings happened to catch our eye.
Of the nine homes that were featured, four were located in the 37215 zip code, which basically encompasses the Forest Hills and Green Hills neighborhoods here in Nashville. The most expensive of the bunch was 4517 Belmont Park Terrace, which sold for $1,159,465. The least expensive of the four was 6228 Hillsboro Pike, which sold for $795,000, while the two others, 4240 Wallace Lane and 4325 Estes Road, sold for $1.4 million and $970,000 respectively.
There's no doubt many different factors go into why certain homes are selling, but without over analyzing it too much, early trends are showing the Forest Hills area being a centralized hot spot for luxury home buyers in the early goings of 2016, which could be enticing for already existing home owners in the area who are currently thinking about selling.
