On April 27th the Run, Rock 'n Roll Marathon will hit the city with plenty of entertainment. Both a full marathon and a half marathon will be held on the 27th with a Health & Fitness Expo the two days prior. The night of the 27th will also feature a concert with Craig Morgan headlining and special guest Sarah Darling. The proceeds will help support St. Jude’s Children's Research Hospital.

The races will feature prizes for the top three places in many age groups from 12 to 80 years of age. The age groups are split up into four-year sections from 18 to 80 and the half-marathon also features 12-14 and 15-17 age groups. Participants can enjoy the scenery of the course, live music throughout and many spectators cheering them on. All participants will also receive free admission to the Health & Fitness Expo, Finish Line Festival and Post Race Concert.

Health & Fitness Expo

The two days prior, April 25th and 26th, the Health & Fitness Expo will be held at the Nashville Convention Center from 11am to 7pm on Thursday and 10am to 7pm on Friday. Race participants need to attend and pick up their race packets. The public can enjoy booths featuring the newest in fitness apparel, nutrition information, technology and more. With 60 exhibits on hand, there will be plenty of free samples and gear on display.

Music

Throughout the race, local bands will be features every mile. From punk rock to jazz to country, there's a little bit of everything on display for participants and spectators. After the race, these bands will continue to play as it turns into a huge street festival.  

Later Saturday night Craig Morgan and Sarah Darling will perform at the Nashville Municipal Auditorium. Doors open at 6pm and the show starts at 7pm. All marathon participants receive free admission and those not participating in the race can get tickets for $35.
