Edgehill Village is known as the hippest destination in all of Nashville. This area of the city was established in 1929 and provides plenty of shopping, food, music and fun. It's found one block from Music Row with a location close to Vanderbilt University and Belmont University. Some say it's one of the best-kept secrets in Nashville.

History

When Edgehill Village was originally established, it was simply eight buildings with a 1902s-era look. Inside the buildings were a mix of businesses and residential units. Whiteway Cleaners & Laundry was a big part of the commercial development and provided a steam laundry service. When the new development came about, many of the older features of the buildings were maintained including steel single pane windows used at partition walls, concrete roof tiles were reused and the corrugated metal roofing sections were used inside the buildings, as well.

Businesses found in Edgehill Village

This creative use of space includes many businesses. It's a mixed-use destination with loft apartments, work spaces, shops, restaurants and more. This reinvented neighborhood provides all types of businesses including:

  • Edgehill Cafe
  • Taco Mamacita
  • Dulce Desserts - Named at one of the Best Cake Bakers in 2012.
  • Bella Napoli Pizzeria - Placed in the Best Pizza category in 2012.
  • Legato Gelato
  • Steadfast and True Yoga - Named to the Best of Nashville in 2012
  • Nomzilla
  • Mind Body Medical Center
  • Joe's Barber Shop
  • Life Fitness Academy
  • Seven Directions
  • O.liv Body Bar
  • KORE
  • Neeleys Studios

  • And More!

Edgehill Village was named as the Best New Dining Enclave in 2012 and continues to shine within the Nashville social scene. Residential spaces found here are not exactly cheap and neither are the business spaces. However, the live/work lofts provide a good option for home businesses or those tele-commuting.
