Recently, we introduced four great places you should try if you're new to Nashville. However, there are so many great local eateries in Nashville, we couldn't stop at just four. Here are three more great choices for your next meal out.
Macke's Restaurant/Mack & Kate’s Cafe & Wine Bar
Found about 18 miles from Nashville, this place opened about six years ago. Many of the friends of the owners thought they were crazy, but this has become one of the premier places in the Green Hills neighborhood. With excellent chefs, great wine and plenty of down-home dishes, this is a local's dream. Macke's is found at 2131 Bandywood Drive and the Cafe & Wine Bar is found at 383 North Main Street in Kingston Springs.
Arnold's Country Kitchen
When you arrive at Arnold's, you may not be drawn to the building. However, once you step in, you will understand quickly why this is a favorite of many locals. They have been serving both ordinary folk and country music stars for over 30 years.
They serve up some of the best friend chicken, fried green tomatoes and banana pudding. They even won an award for their American Classics in 2009. The restaurant is found at 605 Eight Avenue South.
Margot Cafe & Bar
Margot McCormack is known as one of the superstar chefs of Nashville. At her Margot Cafe and Bar, she serves up dishes that have won all types of awards. She also owns a Euro-style market and cafe called Marche Artisan Foods. This market and cafe has received quite a bit of attention with brunch like dishes, such as sausage polenta and sunny eggs.
The Cafe and Bar was found at 1017 Woodland Street and Marche Artisan Foods is found at 1000 Main Street.
All three of these, along with the other four from part one, are great choices for your next meal out.
