Nashville is full of great restaurants and there are plenty you should try. However, there are a few you won't find in the mainstream of the city. Here are a handful of choices you should try.
Prince's Hot Chicken
The Prince is a legend in the city when it comes to fried chicken. It's spicy, delicious and some of the best you will find in the area. Yes, the neighborhood where it's located is a bit sketchy, but it's worth the drive. You will have to wait about 30 minutes for your chicken because they do cook it to order. For lunch, this is one of the top places and found at 123 Ewing Drive.
Dream of Weenie
Found in the up-and-coming East Nashville this is the choice for artsy people in between touring art galleries. With the famous chargrilled hot dog found in a building with a yellow Volkswagen bus coming out of the side, this is an interesting place to say the least. It's located at 1108 Woodland Street.
If you're from out of town, you may never found the Patterson House. However, locals know about this excellent joint. It has an older feel to it, much like the Gatsby times. This vintage place provides a great drink and an amazing experience. It's located at 1711 Division.
Loveless Motel and Cafe
Loveless has been in business for over half a century. It's a favorite for Vanderbilt University students and many workers from downtown. This is a bit more of a well-known place, but new residents tend to gloss over this amazing place. It's cozy and serves a great country-style breakfast. You will find it located at 8400 Highway 100.
These are just a few of the best local eateries in Nashville. Three more will be released in our next post very soon!
