A joint collaboration between Land Development.Com Inc. and Houston-based David Weekley Homes will bring 12 new townhouses to a stretch of Eighth Avenue South that hasn’t seen much development since the 1990s. According to reports, the project has actually been on the table for about year now, but due to unforeseen delays, development just hasn’t gotten much traction until now.
Although renderings are not yet available, six of the eight townhouses will sit along Eighth Street, another three will line Argyle Street, and the final three will face inward towards the other units.
Ironically, although this particular part of Eighth Street hasn’t seen much residential development in recent years, plenty of new businesses and commercial development has helped bring this part of Nashville to life since the early 2000s, helping make it an attraction option moving forward to other residential developers and home builders. In addition, Reservoir Park is also located right up the street from the new 12-townhome development, giving future residents a nice outdoor amenity to enjoy once moving into their sweet new digs that are sure to be impressive.
Groundbreaking is expected to take place later this month and a completion date is expected to be about 18 months from when construction finally gets underway.
